Iced Coffee / Protein Shake



Ingredients:

-  1 cup brewed coffee of choice
-  1/4 cup milk
-  1 tsp. sweetener of choice
-  1 scoop whey protein powder of choice
-  1 to 2 cups of ice

Directions: 

For just an iced coffee:
-  In a 16 ounce cup combine coffee, milk, and sweetener. Stir well to combine.
-  Add enough ice to fill the cup to the top, stir again and enjoy!

Calories per drink:
If using 2% milk: 33 calories
If using 1% milk: 30 calories                (And YES, these calories are correct!)
If using skim milk: 22 calories 

For an iced coffee and protein shake:
-  In a cup with a lid (a protein sake container works well for the shake version of this drink) combine      
    coffee, milk, and sweetener. Stir well to combine. 
Add protein powder and shake well.
-  Transfer mixture to a 16 ounce cup and add enough ice to fill to the top. Stir
    again and enjoy! 

Calories per drink:
The calories for the iced coffee base will remain the same. The only thing you need to do is add in the amount of calories in 1 scoop of your choice of protein powder. The kind of protein powder I use is 100 calories per scoop, and since I use 2% milk, my shakes are 133 calories.
